My Wife's First Icon

Behold the first icon my wife has ever written (icons are "written" versus being painted). After roughly a six month process which involves meditating on the person of Christ, prayer and reflection while mixing one's own egg tempera paint and using real gold leaf to create it here is her finished work. Isn't it beautiful? Glory to God. And well done my Love.

WOW!!! It is BEAUTIFUL!!!

I had no idea she was working on this--can't wait to hear more about it sometime!

BTW, please consider posting something regarding your family's Advent traditions for the first-ever Carnival of Anglican Advent Traditions, hosted by yours truly. Details on my blog, back a few posts--the deadline to send me the URL of your post is next Tues. at noon.

Just trying to build a little community among Anglican bloggers and readers!

It is beautiful. My parents and I were really impressed. I just found your websit today. I thought about you a couple weeks ago as I struggled with a difficult paper for my first ever theology class. I hope you all are well and that we see you soon!
